Boris Reitschuster is a current television host at the channel Ost-West in Berlin. Prior to assuming this position, he served from 1999 to 2015 as head of the Moscow office of the German news weekly Focus. Mr. Reitschuster has also worked as a correspondent for the news agencies Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA), as well as the German office of the Huffington Post. A lecturer at the Haus Rissen Institute for International Politics and Economy in Hamburg, Mr. Reitschuster has authored numerous bestselling novels about topics including Russian hybrid warfare, Vladimir Putin, and contemporary Russian society. He is a recipient of the Theodor Heuss Prize, and has served as former Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev’s translator.
