Dani Sandu is a researcher for the GlobalFocus Center, as well as the European University Institute. At the Institute, he studies the effects of political socialization under authoritarian regimes on post-transition attitudes about democracy. With GlobalFocus, he has worked on the first Quantitative Index of Vulnerability to Propaganda in the ex-communist space. He has several years of experience in Romania, Europe, and the United States as a researcher, academic, and consultant. He has worked for the European Commission and the World Bank in Romania on the issues of governance and sustainable development. Apart from his more recent activity in public policy and research, he also has experience in politics, having worked in multiple campaigns in Romania and for the Barack Obama re-election campaign of 2012, in Ohio. He specializes in European post-Communist countries.
