Jacopo Iacoboni has been a journalist at La Stampa—one of the oldest newspapers in Italy—since 2000. He currently covers populism and cyber networks in Italian politics. He has reported on every Italian election since 2001, as well as the US presidential election in 2008. Past subjects of his investigative journalism include former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, former president Giorgio Napolitano, and current politician Beppe Grillo. In 2005, he won the Ischia International Journalism Award for excellence in journalism and communication. Mr. Iacoboni has published several books on various Italian political developments. His latest book, L’Esperimento: Inchiesta sul Movimento 5 Stelle discusses the Five Star movement, populism in Italy, and beyond.
