Laura Rosenberger is a senior fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), and the director of GMF’s Alliance for Securing Democracy. Prior to joining the German Marshall Fund, she served as chief foreign policy adviser for Hillary for America, where she was responsible for coordinating the campaign’s national security policy platform and messaging. Ms. Rosenberger’s career in foreign service started when she served at the Department of State through the Presidential Management Fellows Program. She later served as special assistant to Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Bill Burns, and chief of staff to Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken. She also served on the National Security Council (NSC), working as NSC Director for China and Korea, while also managing the interagency Deputies Committee. Ms. Rosenberger earned her master’s degree in from American University, and her bachelor’s degrees from Pennsylvania State University.
