Martin Kragh is the head of the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, and associate professor at the Institute for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Uppsala University. He specializes in the economic and political development of Russia and the EU’s eastern neighborhood. His research interests include economic history, political economy, foreign affairs and Nordic-Russian relations. Kragh is also a member of the board of directors of the Sverker Åström Foundation, which supports young Russians who wish to visit Sweden, and he was previously a member of the board of directors of Transparency International Sweden. He received his PhD from the Stockholm School of Economics.
