Radu Magdin has been the chief executive officer of Smartlink Communications since 2012. In this capacity, he advises people and organizations on public relations. Additionally, since 2015, he has been the vice president for European Union (EU) affairs at Strategikon, a Bucharest-based English language think tank. Prior to starting at Smartlink Communications, Dr. Magdin spent five years in Brussels with the European Parliament, EURACTIV, and Google. After this, he worked as an honorary adviser to the prime minister of Romania, and subsequently, the prime minister of Moldova. He taught political leadership at the University of Bucharest’s journalism and communications school. He received his PhD from Romania’s National School of Political and Administrative Studies, where his thesis focused on Russian propaganda and hybrid warfare.
