Biography

Dr. Stefan Meister is currently head of the Robert Bosch Center for Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). Prior to joining DGAP, Dr. Meister worked as a senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, and as a visiting fellow at the Transatlantic Academy in Washington, DC. He has also served as a supervisor for university projects in multiple Russian regions, including Kaliningrad, and as an election observer for the Organization on Security and Cooperation and Europe (OSCE) in numerous former Eastern Bloc states. Dr. Meister has edited or co-authored numerous publications on the topic of post-Soviet conflict and relations, including Eastern Voices and The Russia File.
